Wow. A short email to a few folks, and within an hour we had mobilized Papaya growers in Florida, Singapore, Colombia, Hawaii, and more. Thank you so much. We now have ample Papaya leaves, extract and powder -- and are hoping it will support Viral.
Aug 21: Papaya Leave Needed
Hey guys,Needed your help to see if we can track down fresh Papaya leaves. ("Carica papaya" variety.)
Context -- Viral's body essentially isn't regenerating functioning blood. While they try to determine the cause, immediate concern is that his white blood cell count (around 300) is SUPER low (he basically has no immunity, so the smallest thing could be fatal). While his red-blood cells and platelet counts are super low, doctors have a way to transfuse that and provide temporary strength. But there's no Western solution for white-blood-cells depletion.
In general, we are following various naturopathic recommendations from experts -- and we're told (and have personal experience) that Papaya leaves can do wonders for all three blood functions, but we don't have access to fresh Papaya leaves. (We do have powder that was shipped to us from Arizona y'day.)
Can you explore and see if we can get access to leaves from a Papaya tree?
More broadly -- Viral's situation is undiagnosed. If it stays that way, Western approach will get more and more forced (which is good in some ways, but not good in many other ways :)). If we can somehow get his counts to go in a different direction, it'll change the worst-case scenario thinking of the doctors and significantly alter the treatment pathways.
