Multiversity (not Uni-versity)
October 20, 2016
Last month, Joanie and I met for coffee. She is the co-founder of 1440 Foundation ("1440 are the number of minutes that we can be open hearted everyday") and long-time fan of ServiceSpace projects.
Today, a whole gang of us visited Scott Kriens -- Joanie's husband and the other co-founder of 1440. He previously founded Juniper Networks, and is now a visionary behind their "Multiversity."
To say that we were awed by what's going on there would be an understatement. The vision, the diligence, the 1,200-year redwood tree (that we all hugged!), the 500-person residential campus -- it all seemed amazing, and Scott's loving and humble attitude towards us made everything come even more alive. Stay tuned for the launch in May 2017. :)
Scott shared some really quotable lines, but my favorite one was: "People will listen to you only after they know you care for them."
