Birds And Saints Don't Collect
October 19, 2016
Larry Brilliant spoke at our Awakin Circle tonight -- and his first comment to the group was, "This feels so familiar." Ever since I've known him, from my days of serving on the Seva Foundation board, he's always felt very familiar to me.
It was a brilliant evening. Larry simply has lived through the most unique experience, at the intersection of spirituality and social change. Whether it is being in jail with Martin Luther King Jr, or spending a night being roommates with the Dalai Lama, or traveling the world on a bus with a clown named Wavy Gravy, or confirming with life-long buddy Steve Jobs that "RAM" is actually named after a Hindu God, or eradicating small pox in the world because of a mandate from a Himalayan yogi, only Larry has those kind of wide ranging affinities. :)
I'm glad he's finally published a book. People who have read it says it makes them tear up. Here's the transcript from our circle: Birds and Saints Don't Collect
