somedays I wonder who put the hum in the hummingbirdand what the praying mantis wants so badly
but the world doesn't come with an explanation
you have to make one up-
(it's called Life)
and it has to be Original.
the trick is to try not to look too hard.
because then you'll only find
what you were looking for.
sometimes reason is a fruit out-of-season
that we want so much we forget
the last of the mangos
are waiting to be
eaten.
i don't think the mynah knows why
she sings
what matters is
she does.
