Open Secret

Jul 16, 2005

jasmine buds in the garden
bursting to tell the night
their sweet scented
Secret

the heart blooms in darkness

(tell-tale tangles in the tresses
of the wind)

sometimes there is a swiftness
beyond words in this world

no it doesn't much believe
in being- discrete

it will betray your confidence
advertise your truth and-

accept its guilt with gleeful grace
refusing to repent for its sins

(what is left in your power to do?)

see how it laughs over its shoulder
at you as it runs?

(the red racing rumour of love)

lean back

breathe deep

(the jasmine-scented secrets
of the wind)
