Your life she said was planted like a sapling.
On good ground carefully prepared.

An investment in something tender and sna-
ppable carefully tended because of
an understanding of its potential-

See?

Protected and nurtured you didn?t have to learn
to grow tall and strong and healthy.

You just did.

Not knowing that being allowed to be
all that you are is a luxury.

Not knowing that every day that you are You
is a miracle.

A tree doesn?t know to thank the sun or the rain for its proud height
and the dancing shadows of its leaves.

Straight and crowned and giving and like a tree you stand.
Deep-rooted and rising unknowing and owing

So Much

To the ground beneath your feet, the wide spaces above your head and-
so many unsung hands.
