Accountants And Multiple Forms Of Capital :)

Tonight, I spoke to a large crowd of Chartered Accountants about (among other things) multiple forms of capital. :)

The talk was really well received and it was a glorious sight to see (from the stage) hundreds of people flocking to the Smile Card table that Sachi, Smita-ben and Madhur were manning. I also felicitated top rankers in their annual exams, and although the organizers were describing it as a chore, I actually found myself feeling a great sense of joy with each person -- and started hugging each of them. :)

In his father's arms, a super-cute 1-year-old came up to me and stared at me for a solid two minutes -- and then gave me a heart pin. :) Before I reached home, one of the folks already wrote this sweet note:

Spellbound, I was concentrating on every word/point/sentence you spoke. I was experiencing bliss and sublime love as my eyes teared with the last experience you shared at the request of the Chairman of WIRC. I felt blessed hearing examples of such expressed compassion. Your clarity of understanding and flowery softness of the talk were so soothing to the heart.

While coming back home, I went to purchase some fruits in Dadar. To the vendor, I gave a new 2000 Rupee note and he had to give me back Rs.1900. He said to me "Sir, I don't have that much change. Would you be willing to take an old 500 rupee note?" As you might be knowing, that 500 rupee isn't worth anything now. I thought of experiencing what I had heard from you just half an hour ago, and I said "Thik hai". While giving the change back, he smiled and said "Subah se koi nahi le raha tha. Sahab dhanyavad." (No one was taking the note from morning. Sir, thank you.) I smile back and said, "Koi baat nahi." (No problem.)

That vegetable sellers smile lingers in my heart, as I write these words to you. A very warm thank you from my heart.

It's the kind of night where one feels deeply grateful to have found these values, and to have had conditions to share them skilfully.
