In India :)

Oct 13, 2012

Guri and I landed in India about ten days ago; and its been a whirlwind journey of giving, receiving and dancing (and few days of coughing too!).  We arrived to a barrage of thoughtful acts of kindness, from so many people, which included a personalized room with our quotes on the walls to a hand-crafted ServiceSpace logo on our door and much more.  Bunch of us are living together on Ishwarkaka's sacred ESI space, building practices that facilitate inner transformation which can then ripple out through our (new and upcoming) giftivism oriented projects.  For instance, everyone meditates two hours a day together.  Just by being together in this way, some things change.  A walking pilgrim echoed what everyone feels: "In a day, I felt like we've known each other for years."  A young woman shared how she spontaneously gave up shopping for a month.  Two leaders from the UK/US were so blown away (often to tears!) that they adopted young man who drove them to the airport (also a remarkable giftivist) as their third son, after just a day with the community.  Of course, so many courageous stories of kindness are tilling the momentum of the inner soil, hour by hour.  People keep thinking that Guri and I have a plan -- but we're just dancing in the wind. :)  What a blessing.
