Several years ago, I was anonymously mailed a CD with a Smile Card. I really enjoyed the CD and it was one of the few CD's I would listen to, when I was driving long distances in the car. On one such trip to the airport, I dropped off a my friend and gifted him my copy. That friend, Nimo, hadn't listened to music in a long while but ended up listening to this CD "probably more times than the artist himself." Before Nimo brought the incredible Ekatva tour to the US and UK, we published an article on DailyGood with a line from one of the tracks. That mention rippled to the artist himself -- Daniel Nahmod. It turned out that he offerred to open the Ekatva show in LA; I remember sitting next to Pavi at that show, and both of us were in tears listening to his song. In gratitude for his offering, we bought 50 copies of his 'Water' album and tagged everyone at the ServiceSpace Retreat in June. Turns out that on Friday night, I was invited to speak at a gathering in LA and they tagged me by having Daniel open for me. He was awesome and got several standing ovations! Before we left, he offered me several CD's and I had him autograph it to pay forward to couple of our coordinators. :)  He is hoping to join the Forest Call, visit Wednesdays -- and he invited me to his house, as the friendship grows. The journey of a small Smile Card act continues.
